I am a Speech and language therapist and I work with young children and adolescents who present a wide range of speech and language disorders. I am currently completing my MSc in Advanced Practice in Speech, Language and Communication Disorders at City, University of London. My research project investigates the differential diagnosis between social pragmatic disorders and developmental language disorders in pre-school children.

During my experience in Italy as Speech and Language therapist, I became increasingly interested in Williams and Down syndrome. My main area of interest is the pattern of executive functions (e.g. auditory and visual working memory) showed by children with Williams Syndrome and how this could be potentially used in therapy in order to support their communication and learning disability.

I am also interested in the mismatch exhibited by children with Williams Syndrome in regards to their expressive and receptive language skills and I strive for increasing general awareness regarding their communication, social pragmatics and language difficulties.
