Membership Supporter & Administrator.

We are currently looking for someone to join us as our Membership Supporter & Administrator. This is a great opportunity to support and interact with our members and future members, associated professionals, Regional Coordinators and the team here at the WSF.

The role is 10 hours per week working from home on Monday to Thursday between the hours of 9am-3pm (specific days / hours to be mutually agreed around your availability, but must include 11-1 Monday and Tuesdays and at least one more day).

Reporting to our CEO, you will:

 Provide our members, and those who care for or educate individuals with WS, with support by:

  • Talking with, and reassuring, parents of newly diagnosed children with WS
  • Signposting members and professionals to internal and external resources via phone and email
  • Supporting our Regional Coordinators to ensure we can hold lots of great events across the country
  • Assisting our CEO by delivering administrative support
  • Helping the WSF to continue to evolve to provide greater support to our members

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A lived experience of WS through a close family member
  • A passion to support families affected by WS
  • Empathy and the ability to listen
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A proven ability to work well as part of a team
  • Excellent organisational abilities, great time management and the ability to work independently
  • Confidence using MS Outlook, MS Teams, Zoom, Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with GDPR and  an understanding of the importance of Safeguarding within our community

The role will initially be temporary with a view to becoming a permanent position after six months. The salary is £12.50 per hour.
